  • Committed to attention to individual student needs Calvary has 38 faculty members and 25 instructional aides resulting in a student to teacher ratio of 3:1 in Mommy and Me, 6:1 in Preschool and 7:1 in Elementary and Middle School
  • Calvary’s Mommy and Me program is a special class for parents and their infant or toddler to attend together.  Classes provide an interactive time where the development of both the parent and the child is encouraged.
  • Calvary’s Preschool programs limit classes to 15 students with a full time teacher, a full time instructional aide and a part-time classroom aide.
  • Calvary’s Elementary School limits class sizes to 15 students in transitional kindergarten. Each of the two kindergarten through fifth grade classes have an average of 19 students. This class structure allows students to enhance their interpersonal skills and enjoy a variety of friendships. Classes are staffed with a fully credentialed teacher and instructional aide.
  • Calvary’s Middle School has a rotating schedule with all classes taught by well-qualified faculty with specializations in their field. Classes are limited to 20 students.
  • Calvary Christian School eighth graders matriculate to the top high schools in Los Angeles including Archer School for Girls, Brentwood School, Crespi, Harvard Westlake, Loyola, Marlborough, Marymount, Oaks Christian, Pacifica Christian High, Notre Dame, Viewpoint, and Windward.

  • CCS draws students from several cities on the Westside of Los Angeles including Pacific Palisades, Santa Monica, Malibu, Brentwood, Marina Del Rey and West Los Angeles.

  • CCS has a rigorous academic curriculum that exceeds the State of California requirements

  • Calvary Christian School is fully accredited by the California Association of Independent Schools (CAIS) and the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC).
  • Technology is fully integrated into Calvary’s curriculum with laptop computer carts for all third through eighth grade classrooms, a computer lab, full multimedia capabilities in kindergarten through eighth grade with digital projectors in all classrooms, wireless network for the entire campus and SmartBoard technology in most classrooms. Computers and technology are updated continually.
  • All eighth grades students have a dedicated laptop computer for use at school and home. 
  • The CCS mascot is the Cougar and the school colors are dark blue and green.
  • Calvary students are not required to be members of any religious organization and approximately 40% of Calvary students have no religious affiliation.
