Calvary offers two Kindergarten programs to meet your child’s needs:

The Transitional Kindergarten Program is a full day, five day a week program which introduces and strengthens readiness skills necessary for a successful and enjoyable kindergarten experience. Children must be five years old by December 1st to be admitted to the Transitional Kindergarten program.

The Kindergarten Program is a full day, five day a week program for children who are ready to begin their elementary education with the strong academic program at Calvary. Children must be five years old by September 1st to qualify for the Kindergarten program.

Admission priority is given to Calvary Church members, Calvary Christian School siblings, and students entering Transitional Kindergarten or Kindergarten from Calvary Christian School’s Preschool.

Calvary Christian School admits students of any race, color, nationality and ethnic origin to all the rights, privileges, programs and activities generally accorded or made available to students at the school. It does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national and ethnic origin in administration of its educational policies, admissions policies, scholarships and loan programs, and other school-administered programs.

Letters notifying students of Calvary Christian School’s decision will be mailed on March 26, 2010

Students in Transitional Kindergarten do not need to reapply for Kindergarten.

ASSESSMENTS: On-campus assessments will be done starting the week of January 19, 2010 during the school day for students who currently attend Calvary’s Preschool. New student applicants will be required to attend an assessment at Calvary Christian School on January 30 or February 6, 2010. Once your application has been submitted you will receive information on the exact time scheduled for your child’s evaluation. The evaluations will take approximately two hours. During the evaluation for new students parents are invited to the Fireside Room on campus to visit with our Administration, current parents and Board of Trustees.

RECOMMENDATIONS: New student applicants for Transitional Kindergarten and Kindergarten are required to have their preschool complete a Preschool Evaluation Form and return it directly to Calvary Christian School by January 15, 2010. You may download the Preschool Evaluation Form on the Application and Forms page of this website. (Current Calvary Preschool students are exempt from this requirement).

FAMILY INTERVIEWS: Family interviews are required for admission. Once your application has been submitted you will be contacted by the admissions office to schedule a convenient time for an interview.(Current Calvary Preschool students are exempt from this requirement).
