5th and 6th Grade
Community Service Project:
STELLA MIDDLE CHARTER ACADEMY
Stella Middle Charter Academy is a charter school in mid city Los Angeles serving 240 fifth through seventh grade students. Approximately 95% of their students come from socio-economically and/or educationally disadvantaged backgrounds. In partnership with parents and the community, Stella Middle Charter Academy prepares students for success in high school, college and life beyond. To achieve this goal, they provide a rigorous academic program, tools for good decision-making, and a culture of accountability, creativity, and compassion.
Calvary will provide resources to assist Stella Middle Charter Academy in achieving its goals. In addition, it is our 5th and 6th grader’s goal to build community with children through mentoring and friendship, to help students realize their potential, and to provide hope and build self-esteem through prayer and service.

- Creating a partnership with Stella Middle Charter Academy, adopting their school and Stella in turn adopts our 5-6 grade classes.
- Weekly group prayer.
