Calvary’s Mommy and Me is a special class that parents and their infant or toddler attend together. It is an interactive time where the development of both the parent and child is encouraged and supported. Classes provide the opportunity for parents to:

• Engage with others at a similar life stage
• Receive parenting education and emotional support
• Process various real-life challenges and triumphs as little ones are guided into the preschool years

At the same time infants and toddlers will:

• Explore a stimulating educational environment within the security of their parent’s presence
• Enjoy the social interaction of others who are their same age
• Develop autonomy and independence at their own pace
• Explore opportunities for creative expression

Mommy and Me classes meet during the school year for three 9-week sessions in the fall, winter and spring. Classes for the 2012-2013 year will take place as follows:

• September 19 - November 14
• January 9 - March 13 (no class February 20)
• March 20 - May 22 (no class April 3)

Classes are held on Wednesday mornings and are assigned based on the age of the child by September 1st of the year they enter to program.

• Infant class is for parents with children between birth and age one and meets from 10:30 to 11:45
• Toddler class is for parents with children between the ages of one and two and meets from 8:30 until 10:00

Sessions are limited to 8 parents and their children. Classes meet in a secure and child-friendly environment and are facilitated by the teacher and two aides.
