All middle school students participate in a variety of educational field trips. Sixth graders spend three days at Forest Home in the San Gabriel Mountains where they experience a thoroughly enriching science program and the thrills of an outdoor adventure course. The 7th graders travel to Catalina where they explore the world of Marine Biology and learn snorkeling and scuba diving skills. Eighth graders spend three days in Malibu at a team building retreat, including a high ropes course. Additionally, they spend a week in Washington D.C. learning all about the history and government of this great nation. All of these activities are planned to help students bond and build relationships in an educational, yet relaxed and enjoyable setting.
Each grade level participates in a community service field trip as well. Our sixth graders partner with an inner city school to build relationships with those students and to give back to the community through joint service projects. Our seventh and eighth graders travel to Casa Hogar Sion Orphanage in Tijuana, Mexico where they complete service projects and build relationships with the children of the orphanage. |
