President’s Letter

Hello from the Parent Association at Calvary Christian School.  I am Pam Bowman and I am happy to serve as the Parent Association President for the 2007/08 academic year.

We, the Parent Association, are a service and support organization that focuses on three main objectives. First, we seek to provide an effective communication link between the parents, the faculty, and the administration at Calvary Christian School (CCS) by hosting two general meetings each year and administering a very active" Room Mom/Dad" program. Second, we work to promote CCS in our local community through, among other things, submission of articles highlighting academic, athletic and community service activities in our local paper. Third, we plan and produce fundraising events to supplement and enhance our curriculum and facilities. Last year, the PA gave back to CCS over $130,000 raised in our annual Holiday Boutique, Book Fair and weekly Pizza Day.

We welcome your involvement and support! Our first general meeting is on Friday, September 7, 2007 at 8:15 am in the Calvary Church Sanctuary. Come and hear from Teresa Roberson, Head of School and Chris Rutz, Assistant Head, as well as the Parent Association Committee Chairs about how they are at work in our school community and how you can become involved. I look forward to working with all of our school families as our children learn and grow at Calvary Christian School.
