Parent Association Events
Book Fair - This annual event is held each spring. We invite a bookseller on campus to sell many types of books. The P.A. staffs the Book Fair with parent volunteers and receives a portion of the proceeds. We have the required summer reading books on hand to save you time. The children love to attend the Book Fair with their class.
Community Service - This program supports our Community Service Program and allows our students to go on field trips to serve and to learn about the needy in our community. The PA fully funds Calvary's Community Service program.
Cultural Arts - The PA plans a weeklong series of events designed to highlight the culture of a selected country. Cultural elements include music, dance, drama, food and art. Parents are invited to attend.
Earthquake - The PA maintains an earthquake emergency trailer stocked with supplies for several days.
Grandparents/Special Friends Day - This annual event is held the Friday before Mother's Day in May. The TK-8 students' grandparents/special friends are invited to a special lunch and classroom visitations.
Holiday Boutique - This event is a school and community favorite. The Boutique occurs on the first Friday in November in our gym. More than 60 vendors are invited to set up booths and sell their goods. Funds raised from this day go toward supporting the programs that benefit Calvary Christian School students.
Hot Lunch - PA works with our new hot lunch provider, LUNCHES with LOVE! This family-run business provides healthy lunches for CCS. They provide lunches for field trips too. Only three days notice is necessary for ordering or

Lost & Found - The PA oversees lost and found uniforms. When uniforms are not labeled, they are given to charity or later sold at the used uniform sale.
Moms in Touch - Each Monday parents meet to pray for our students and staff. Parents are encouraged to attend.
Olympics Day - A TK-5th activity day to include athletic and recreational activities held at the end of school. Parents are encouraged to attend. To volunteer to help with Olympics Day contact Charlie Burr at cburr@calvarychristian.org.

Monday--Fresh, home-cooked Mexican food including tacos. quesadillas,

Pizza Day - This year we are offering Rocco's Pizza on Thursdays. The meal includes pizza, side salad, drink and hot chocolate chip cookie. To order go to <http://wwwluncheswithlove.com> .
In N Out - The PA will offer lunch from In N Out six times this year. For details pick up an order form in the office.
Teacher Appreciation Lunches - This PA sponsored lunch is in May to show the teachers our appreciation for their dedication.
Used Uniform and Book Sale - This event is held at least once a year near the end of school. It gives parents a chance to buy uniform clothes that are in good condition for great prices. Used books apply only for grades 5-8. Students are required to have a set of books at home. |
