Calvary Christian School is nestled on a seven-acre campus with scenic vistas at the foot of the Highlands. The 420 students enjoy using iPads, laptops and 3D printers as educational tools and can take advantage of top-of-the-line science labs, an Arts and Technology Center, Academic Resource Center, Performing Arts Center and Arts Annex. Calvary's sports field and newly updated gymnasium are utilized daily by students as they round-out their educational experience.
SInce the summer of 2015, we have revitalized all the elementary classrooms, and many of the middle school classrooms. During the summer of 2018, we updated our Tiny Seeds play area and classroom, and added additional security measures around campus. The new state-of-the-art learning environment supports Calvary’s commitment to provide a stimulating environment for exploration and growth. In addition, in 2015 Calvary’s turf sports field underwent a full overhaul, allowing students to have the best field on which to practice, play and compete. Other minor updates were completed around campus including our gym lobby, elementary building, courtyard, main offices, and outdoor lunch areas.
In the fall of 2015, Calvary Christian’s Preschool unveiled a brand new 6,500 square-foot play yard and outdoor classroom. This state-of-the-art, nature-inspired play space encourages discovery and exploration among preschool students. The new yard features playscapes that are shown to build the overall physical, cognitive, and emotional development of children.
Calvary Christian School opened the 2012-2013 school year with the inauguration of a new Arts and Technology Center. The Arts and Technology Center is a three-level, multi-use facility designed to give specific space and emphasis to the development of the whole child, enhancing Calvary's academic and enrichment programs.The Fine Arts Studio is the ground-level hub of Calvary's creative problem solving. Located on the first floor of the Arts and Technology Center, the studio boasts an open, loft-like space that is dedicated to providing a culturally-rich, comprehensive fine arts education and exhibition facility conducive to creativity, appreciation, and understanding of a diverse representation of worldly art. Through the integrated art curriculum, students will enjoy a variety of experiences and come to understand that art is woven into all other subjects and into the world at large.The Performing Arts Center is the showcase location for Calvary Christian School's music and theater arts programs. The state-of-the-art facility includes a performance stage, concert quality sound equipment, a portable green screen, large storage spaces for musical instruments and theater props, and an audience seating area that expands onto an outdoor balcony.The Academic Resource Center, located on the top level of the Arts and Technology Center, is a multi-media, communication, and research facility. The ARC allows students the opportunity to take advantage of all technological advances in worldwide communication, experience virtual field trips, and access resources in all digital formats. The ARC provides the two literacies that are critical to our children in today’s world: Information Literacy and Communication Literacy. Information Literacy helps students know how to access and validate information and understand the organization of information. Communication Literacy helps students understand the basic grammar of the Internet.In addition to the new Academic Resource Center, Calvary houses many of its technology devices in the Technology Learning Center. The TLC is a specially-equipped facility that is home to 22 desktop computers set up in a uniquely collaborative configuration designed to promote group learning. This facility is also used to extend the learning beyond the classroom and core curriculum, as well as instruct students on the ethical and practical uses of technology.
