Admission Requirements

The following are required for all applicants. Please scroll down to see additional requirements based on the age of your child(ren).

Application 

Online applications for the 2023/24 school year are now available. Click here to begin your application. The final deadline for submission is December 16th, 2022.  We do offer rolling admissions for birth through Kindergarten. Please contact us regarding late applications.
Calvary Christian School typically offers two fall open houses, and we encourage all prospective families to join us to learn more about our programs, meet our administrative team and current Calvary parents, as well as enjoy a full tour of our beautiful campus. We offer childcare for children 5 and under.  Our Fall 2022 Open Houses have concluded.

Calvary's Admissions team offers personal tours for parents from September 20 to December 15, 2022, for those unable to attend an Open House. You can reserve your tour time on our website. We also offer a Virtual Tour for a first look at our beautiful campus. Children applying for 4th-8th grades will have the opportunity to visit the campus as part of the admissions process.  

Both parents will meet with the Admissions staff so that we can get to know your child and family. Interviews will be scheduled once your child's application is complete and all required supplemental materials have been received. 

Preschool Applicant Play Date (Preschool 3 and 4 only)

Your child will attend an informal play date with other Preschool applicants. This will give our teachers a chance to observe and interact with each child and give your child the chance to experience our campus. 

Preschool Teacher Reference Form 

If your child has attended preschool previously, submit the Preschool Applicant Teacher Reference Form to your child’s current preschool. The school will return the completed form directly to Calvary Christian School. Completed evaluation forms are due by January 13, 2023.

Teacher Evaluation Form

Submit the TK and Kindergarten Applicant Teacher Reference Form to your child’s current preschool. The school will return the completed form directly to Calvary Christian School. We also accept the Los Angeles Independent Schools' Teacher Recommendation Form. Completed evaluation forms are due by January 13, 2023.

TK/Kindergarten Readiness Assessment

All applicants for Calvary's Transitional Kindergarten and Kindergarten programs will complete a readiness assessment with a member of our staff. Assessments will take place in January 2023.  Once your admissions file is complete you will be contacted with the date and details of your child’s assessment.

Teacher Reference Form

Submit the appropriate Teacher Reference Form (1st - 4th Grades, 5th Grade) to your child’s current teacher. The teacher will return the completed form directly to Calvary Christian School. We also accept the Los Angeles Independent Schools' Teacher Recommendation Form. Teacher reference forms are due by January 13, 2023.

Principal/Head of School Reference Form

Please submit the Principal/Head of School Reference Form to your child’s current Principal/Head of School. They will return the completed form directly to Calvary Christian School. We also accept the Los Angeles Independent Schools' Administrative Recommendation Form. Principal/Head of School reference forms is due by January 13, 2023

Transcript Request Form

Please submit the Transcript Request Form to your child’s current school. The school will mail up to three years of transcripts and report cards directly to Calvary Christian School. We also accept the Los Angeles Independent Schools' Transcript Request Form. Transcripts are due by January 13, 2023.

Academic Assessment (1st - 5th Grades)

All applicants for Calvary's Elementary Program will complete an academic assessment with a member of our staff. Once your admissions file is complete you will be contacted with the details and date of your child's assessment. For 5th grade students Calvary Christian School may require your student to take the Independent School Entrance Exam. Calvary's Admissions staff will notify you if this is applicable to your child.

 

Student Visit (4th -5th Grades)

Your child will meet individually with our Elementary School Head and enjoy a one-on-one tour of our campus. 

English Teacher Reference Form

Submit the English Teacher Reference Form to your child’s current English teacher. The teacher will return the completed form directly to Calvary Christian School. We also accept the Los Angeles Independent Schools' English Recommendation Form. The English teacher reference form is due by January 13, 2023.

Math Teacher Reference Form

Submit the Math Teacher Reference Form to your child’s current math teacher. The teacher will return the completed form directly to Calvary Christian School. We also accept the Los Angeles Independent Schools' Math Recommendation Form. The math teacher reference form is due by January 13, 2023.

Principal/Head of School Reference Form

Submit the Principal/Head of School Reference Form to your child’s current Principal/Head of School. They will return the completed form directly to Calvary Christian School. We also accept the Los Angeles Independent Schools' Administrative Recommendation Form. The Principal/Head of School reference form is due by January 13, 2023.

Transcript Request Form

Please submit the Transcript Request Form to your child’s current school. The school will mail up to three years of transcripts and report cards directly to Calvary Christian School.
