Calvary Christian School is nestled on a seven-acre campus
with scenic vistas at the foot of the Highlands. The 430 students enjoy a
state-of-the-art learning environment that supports Calvary’s commitment to providing a stimulating environment for exploration and growth.
Our students can take advantage of top-of-the-line science labs, an Arts and Technology Center, Academic Resource Center, Performing Arts Center, and Arts Annex. Calvary's sports field, gymnasium, and newly renovated outdoor play spaces are utilized daily by students as they round out their educational experience.
Since the summer of 2015, we have revitalized all of our 23 spacious classrooms and each of our outdoor play spaces
, and have added additional security measures around campus. In recent years Calvary’s turf sports field and dedicated sport court underwent a full overhaul, allowing students to have the best facilities on which to practice, play and compete. Other minor updates were completed around campus including our gym lobby, elementary building, courtyard, main offices, and outdoor lunch areas.
In the fall of 2015, Calvary Christian’s Preschool unveiled a brand new 6,500 square-foot play yard and outdoor classroom. This state-of-the-art, nature-inspired play space encourages discovery and exploration among preschool students. The new yard features playscapes that are shown to build the overall physical, cognitive, and emotional development of children. During the summer of 2018, we updated our Tiny Seeds play area and classroom, and in the summer of 2021, we fully renovated our Upper Blacktop outdoor play area with a dedicated sport court, new play structures, contemplative areas, and turf surfacing.
Our newest building on campus, the Arts and Technology Center
, was unveiled during the 2012-2013 school year. This building is a three-level, multi-use facility designed to give specific space and emphasis to the development of the whole child, enhancing Calvary's academic and enrichment programs.
The Fine Arts Studio
boasts an open, loft-like space that is dedicated to providing a culturally-rich, comprehensive fine arts education and exhibition facility conducive to creativity, appreciation, and understanding of a diverse representation of worldly art. The Performing Arts Center
is the showcase location for Calvary Christian School's music and theater arts programs, complete with a performance stage, concert quality sound equipment, and an audience seating area that expands onto an outdoor balcony. The Academic Resource Center
, is a multi-media, communication, and research facility which allows students the opportunity to take advantage of all technological advances in worldwide communication, experience virtual field trips, and access resources in all digital formats.
In addition to the Academic Resource Center, Calvary houses many of its technology devices in the Technology Learning Center or Innovation Lab (iLab)
. This technology learning space is a specially-equipped facility that is home to 24 desktop computers where students learn responsible and practical computer skills as 21st-Century learners. The iLab incorporates constructionism and the maker's movement developing creative problem-solving skills and encouraging students to learn by doing. The iLab is also set up as a studio to support the maker space movement with 3D printing, robots, and digital fabrication, and allows a space for tinkering and student-led technology learning.
