Capital Campaign

We are committed to improving the use of Calvary’s outdoor spaces to better meet the needs of Calvary students

Our goal through the most recent Capital Campaign was to raise money to optimize Calvary's play and lunch areas to better meet the needs of all our students. Plans had been in development for quite some time, and thanks to the meaningful input from teachers, students, and parents, we are excited about the final outcome.

Phase 1 was completed in September 2021 and focused on the upper blacktop (UBT) renovation, which includes
more play and seating options, a dedicated sport court, new play structures, contemplative areas, and turf.  With these exciting features for active play, and quiet and contemplative spaces for socialization and rest, our new play space offers a significant improvement impacting all students at Calvary Christian School.

Phase 2 included the lunch area remodel with the construction of a lunch servery and improved seating for all elementary and middle school students, as well as a new playground for our TK/Kindergarten students. The new lunch servery greatly improves the efficiency of serving hot lunch, thus increasing playtime.  Phase 2 was completed in spring of 2023.

Through the generosity of early donations from families and foundations, the first phase was completely funded by approximately 55 Calvary families and Foundations. In order to raise the remaining $2.1 million necessary to complete Phase 2, the suggested donation is $5,000 per student, Preschool 3 through 8th Grade. While we recognize that individual giving will vary depending on each family’s financial situation, we ask for all members of our community to participate at a meaningful level.  It will require several gifts in the $50,000 to $100,000 range to meet our goal. As always, giving levels at Calvary Christian School are confidential and anonymous.  All donations are fully tax-deductible.

We are immeasurably thankful for the generosity of our school families, allowing us to complete the fundraising efforts for our Capital Campaign.

A look back at our Capital Campaign history:  The original school buildings, the upper-level Middle School building, and the Sanctuary were fully funded by Calvary Church in the early years of Calvary Christian School. In our school's history of over 30 years, we have been able to limit ourselves to only two Capital Campaigns - to raise funding for our sports field and for our Arts and Technology Building. We are thankful for the early support and generosity of Calvary Church, and for the ongoing support of the greater Calvary community.
