Our goal through the current Capital Campaign is to raise money to optimize Calvary's play and lunch areas to better meet the needs of all our students. Plans have been in development for quite some time, and thanks to the meaningful input from teachers, students, and parents, we are excited about the options available.
Due to COVID, our initial timeline was delayed, and the project has now been broken up into 2 phases. Phase 1 will be complete in the fall of 2021 and includes the upper blacktop (UBT) renovation, which includes more play and seating options, a dedicated sport court, new play structures, contemplative areas, and turf. With these exciting features for active play, and quiet and contemplative spaces for socialization and rest, we feel that our plan will be a significant improvement impacting all students at Calvary Christian School.
Phase 2 will include the lunch area remodel with the construction of a lunch servery and improved seating for all elementary and middle school students. The new servery will greatly improve the efficiency of serving hot lunch, increasing playtime.
Through the generosity of early donations from families and foundations, we launch this campaign having already raised 63% of our $4 million dollar goal. In order to raise the remaining $1.5 million, the suggested donation for each family is $7,500. While we recognize that individual giving will vary depending on each family’s financial situation, we ask for all members of our community to participate at a meaningful level.
Families have the option of paying their donation over two years. As always, giving levels at Calvary Christian School are confidential and anonymous. All donations are fully tax-deductible.
